Energy expert: Nuking oil leak 'only thing we can do'

Matt Simmons has been more accurate in his predictions than BP or the Obama administration. It would seem to be critical for an independent scientific team to ascertain whether the well casing has been transgressed with leak of oil into the surrounding subfloor earthen formation and if so at what depth below the sea floor. This would appear to be wise before resorting to even a small tactical sized nuclear bomb. It may still be possible to stop the flow by utilizing the standard technique of killing the well through the relief well.
